The Peterloon Foundation was created in 1979 to continue the charitable work of John J. and Irene Emery. As patrons of the arts and with a heart for philanthropy, John J. and Irene Emery hosted numerous fundraisers, musical performances and other charitable events at Peterloon. After their passing, it became the Foundation’s mission to continue to host events at Peterloon for the benefit, education and enjoyment of the Greater Cincinnati community.
The Peterloon Foundation oversees, maintains and enhances Peterloon and its grounds so it can continue to serve as a stunning backdrop for every event. The foundation helps to serve local nonprofit organizations in several ways:
- Peterloon offers use of the house and grounds at nominal rental rates to qualified charitable groups.
- Knife Fork Spoon at Peterloon – Peterloon is partnering with a local caterer to host evenings of culinary adventure. Each event will have a fun and unique theme and will be paired with tantalizingly delicious cuisine and tempting drinks. Every event will benefit a local, nonprofit organization.
- Peterloon Estate Historical and Educational Tours for groups of 10-15
- The Foundation provides charitable contributions to 501 (c) (3) human service, health and welfare, educational and cultural organizations throughout the metropolitan Cincinnati area.
