Peterloon’s stately grounds were designed by A.D. Taylor, a noted landscape architect from Cleveland, who also designed the approach to Cincinnati’s Union Terminal. Walled gardens, terraces and lawns that extend to a circular pool overlooking an eight acre lake create a beautiful and natural setting which was personally and lovingly maintained by the Emerys.
In the mid 1950’s, additional gardens were developed by Cincinnati’s most prominent landscape architect of the time, Henry Fletcher Kenney.
